After this last weekend of slow fishing, the fishing can only get better! The high moon and cold weather really shut them down. Most of the houses had 10 walleyes a day, with a crappie here and there and a few perch. Surprisingly, this week most people said that dead-sticking outfished the ones that were jigging. The hot colors seemed to be pink and gold, with some people having luck on blue and orange. We are still recommending smaller minnows and smaller hooks, they seem to produce the most fish. The northern bite has remained slow also. The roads are still in great shape and should remain this way for the year. The forecast for this upcoming week shows all signs of the fish biting, warmer weather with temps in the mid 30's, with the sun out and not much wind. Thanks and we hope to see you soon! Staff at JR's
